Critical Analysis of a Current Trend in Technological Communication

Using the format of the previous critical reviews, research and discuss a presentation tool
that you can use to make a professional style presentation, that is NOT MS PowerPoint OR Google Presentation

  1. Students will be required to write a 1-page (single spaced) critical analysis of this communication technology.
    1. This requires doing actual research on the technology (aside from just Wikipedia).  The direct website is blocked by the district because of potential abuse, and threats of downloadable viruses to the district mainframe.
    2. In your critical analysis you must adhere to the following guidelines:
                                                               i.      Include a synopsis of the technology and its function in society (current and historically).
ii.      Include a review of the functionality of the technology for the following areas (both good and bad):
1.      Business
2.      Social
3.      Entertainment
4.      News
5.      Recreational
(All areas may not be applicable)
iii.  In your analysis be sure to explain how this technology could potentially be abused and the possible repercussions that could follow.
    1. You must give examples for each area that you analyze.
    2. At the end of your analysis you must reference any and all websites you went to for information (even if they are technology message boards)
    3. Chances are that I have been to all of the websites that you will be visiting to use as your critical analysis references, so don’t “copy and paste”… use your own words.

Post-Assessment:

When you have completed your critical analysis, you will “hand it in” by posting it to your blog.
